Our Story
Crafted in Akure, Nigeria.
A story of recovered biomass, thoughtful engineering, and purposeful use.
Origin
The NASBERS Mokusaku Wood Vinegar begins in Akure, Nigeria.
The NASBERS Mokusaku Wood Vinegar begins in Akure, Nigeria, where over seven thousand tonnes of biomass waste are recovered each year from sawmills and agricultural processes. What would otherwise be burned, discarded, or left to decay is carefully transformed through controlled heating into a concentrated liquid drawn from the wood itself.
This process captures the natural compounds within the material and converts them into a solution that works with wood rather than covering it. When applied, it moves into the grain, enhancing its depth and character while allowing the material to remain breathable. There is no artificial coating, no plastic layer, only a subtle, natural finish that brings the wood to life.
The result is a product shaped by both engineering and origin. It reflects a system designed for both performance and responsibility. In a country where deforestation continues to place pressure on natural resources, every litre represents a shift away from waste toward purposeful use.
Mokusaku is designed for furniture, interior wood, and traditional woodworking applications where the integrity of the material matters. It is simple to apply, adaptable across use cases, and grounded in a process that respects both the wood and where it comes from.

Process
From recovered biomass,
to purposeful product
Inside the Nasbers facility, recovered material is sorted, screened, heated, condensed and formed into products made for practical use.
Waste to Worth
A different way to look at materials.
Nasbers was founded on the belief that overlooked biomass could serve a greater purpose. By transforming recovered materials into practical products, the brand connects everyday use with more responsible resource systems.
